What Is DAFAA?
We have heard stories of families who have already endured decades of hardships selling their belongings for cash to buy food and of daughters forced to marry and kids sold to bring income into their family. DAFAA provides immediate and direct support to the people in crisis and ensures that they receive the aid they need to survive – including food . water, shelter and basic household items.
Our objective is to assist the vulnerable Afghan families so they do not fall into debt or resort to desperate measures trying to feed their families or provide basic necessities.

Mohammad Samim Zarifi
Head and Manager of DAFAA Organization in Kabul, Afghanistan
I was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Due to financial problems and war in Afghanistan, my family immigrated to Iran and spent 10 years there. We moved back to Afghanistan in 2007. Due to poverty and financial issues, I couldn’t continue my education. After completing secondary education, I joined a government job for ten years. It was always my dream to set up an organization to help vulnerable families in need of basic aid to survive. I’m excited to be part of the DAFAA team on the ground in Afghanistan.
